If you "uncheck" objects, do they exist in the uploaded world?

I was just wondering if when I'm making the Quest version of my world I can uncheck unnecessary polygon-eating objects and have them just not be included in the upload, or if I need to delete them entirely, then upload the world.

You should delete them entirely. "Unchecked" actually means Disabled. Disabled objects stay in the scene, and are uploaded with the world. This is because game logic might enable them, so they need to be there.

Leaving these objects in the world will contribute to the download size of the world being larger. They will also take up memory. Since the amount of RAM on a Quest is relatively low, it's best to only use as much as you actually need.
