    Which shader are you using on your model? at the moment 2.8 version work only with mmd, vrm, xnalara and principled / diffuse bsdf shaders, also it's not supposed to combine normal maps

    Your main textures for atlasing connected directly to Base Color input?

    I believe so

    Most other materials are as simple as this
    upload_2019-9-11_23-15-40.png
    And then there's eyes...
    upload_2019-9-11_23-18-49.png
    Trying to figure out how to UV map that Blender generated eye texture.

    Do you have two or more materials selected? No unique materials selected means that atlas can't be generated from just one material because it's already atlas. Also that can be happen if your model don't have UV maps

    It seems that this file can't be read, try saving it again as png or in another extension with any image editor and try to combine again, also check if this file exists on your system

    It does not work for me. It just says "wrong written" or "could not be found". But everything is written right

    Hey, this plugin looks like a godsend. I wasn't sure where the best place was to ask you about this, but has there been any update on the multicombine feature for blender 2.8+?

    Extremely new to this - when I combined the textures in Blender 2.8 using this, the transparency of all of them were gone - which is strange because the atlas file has transparency. So, eyelashes/eyebrows and other things with transparency become opaque. I tried excluding those textures from the atlas but that made them not be included with the model at all.

    For those of you on Mac and running Blender 2.8+ who aren't able to download pillow try these steps:

    1: Open up blender (and make sure MatCombiner is already in your sidebar)
    2: Go to the upper left part of your screen where the editor type button is and click on it (it is on 3d viewport by default)
    3: Under the scripting tab click on "Python Console"
    4: Try typing the following into the console and restarting blender after you press enter:

    import os
    from subprocess import call
    call([bpy.app.binary_path_python, '-m', 'pip', 'install', 'Pillow', '--user', '--upgrade'], shell=True)
    from PIL import Image

    or

    import subprocess
    pybin = bpy.app.binary_path_python
    subprocess.check_call([pybin, '-m', 'pip', 'install', 'Pillow'])
    from PIL import Image

    Hopefully this helps ya'll out! Thanks shotariya for providing the commands!

    When I tried to combine materials it always report principled bsdf not found. I used material combiner 2, 1, 1, 5 version and blender 2.8.1a

    Change your materials shader to Diffuse BSDF and check/reasign texture nodes, be sure that all texture nodes have name "Image Texture" (on the right panel that popup with N-key while your mouse located on Shader Editor window).
    Not all shaders are supported.

    When I attempt to atlas my materials, the model goes white. I saw an earlier post saying to get rid of your compression, but that doesn't appear to be available on the current build 2.1.1.7

    Hi, try to change a shader for all of your materials before atlasing to Diffuse BSDF, if after changing to this shader the model looks wrong - check in the Shader Editor window that all Image Texture nodes are connected properly to Diffuse BSDF node.

    Sadly it does make the model look wierd still, but I think thats because my nodes look a little different than just a Diffuse texture :/

    Could I create four separate atlases and combine them in unity instead? How could i go about doing that instead of one mega-sized atlas?

    Edit: I did just this and it worked. Separated the four textures, put them with just a diffuse shader, and used Unity to combine the four maps.
