Worlds World Optimization .2

    This is still a work in progress but I'm working on a tutorial for world optimization. I'm be looking for feedback on things to add or edit. I'll be releasing an official version after a couple of days.

    update to version .2 added a few more things and fixed some of what I said.

    next update will probably fix grammar issues.

    Although I'm not quite sure what "good" values are for a world from the Unity Profiler.

    Holy shit this is exactly the kind of thing I needed! Several people that have been on my world have complained of performance problems or outright crashes, coupled with the admittedly hefty load time for a fresh visit.

    This is just the kind of optimization stuff i was looking for! occlusion culling, Static objects? those alone should make a huge difference

    I'll have to try this out later when i can work on the world

    Don't use mixed lighting on light objects that support dynamic bounce effects has to be the biggest one (area, directional). Realtime lighting, even soft on spot and point has very little hit on performance overall actually.

    It looks as if it's been a while since you've updated at least this forum, but I for some reason went and kinda picked apart all the grammar... :confused: I'm not even a grammar nut or anything...just wanted to help out if I could since you are on the official VRChat public world submission documentation :p
